Presentation

For decades, IT organizations have been challenged to do more with less. While generative AI and agentic AI have transformed software development, one of the most impactful innovations for developers is the Model Context Protocol (MCP). MCP extends AI beyond code generation by connecting AI assistants directly to the tools, repositories, services, and systems developers use every day. By bringing context and actions into a single conversational workflow, MCP reduces context switching, streamlines common development tasks, and helps developers stay focused on delivering business value. In this session, we'll explore how MCP enhances the developer experience by simplifying tool integration, reducing workflow complexity, and enabling AI-powered development with real-time context. Through live demonstrations, attendees will learn: • What MCP is and how it works • How to connect and configure MCP servers in a local development environment • How MCP integrates with popular development tools and AI coding assistants • How tools like Cursor leverage MCP to improve coding, troubleshooting, and documentation workflows • How MCP can reduce toolchain complexity and increase developer productivity Whether you're just getting started with AI-assisted development or looking to maximize your existing AI investments, this session will provide practical guidance and real-world examples of how MCP helps developers spend less time searching for information and more time building great software.
