Too often, organizations assume that the mainframe is expensive, inflexible and must be eliminated. Modernization strategies are all too often based on assumptions and bias with problematic foundations for the expected "savings". Some applications would truly benefit from being migrated but others would better achieve organizational goals by being modernized in place. In this session, we'll explore a more factual method for evaluating the true cost of migrations and the true value of modernizing applications in place. You'll leave with the tools to do a true evaluation of the costs and benefits leading to better application modernization decisions.
