Dean has been a user of IBM and HCL’s Z Workload Automation products for 41 years now – 20 as a customer, 21 as a vendor. In 2008 he started work on a tool, known as SOE, which in 2015 became Workload Automation Programming Language (WAPL) and has caused him to be associated with frogs ever since. Outside of work is a singer/songwriter, interested in drama and is on the cutting room floor of an audio drama with Robert Piccardo, though his son’s lines made it to air.
