The XEDIT editor is a sophisticated editor with a large subcommand set. It can be quite easy to use and yet extremely powerful and nearly infinitely tailorable. In this session, the speaker will cover a tiny bit of history, the anatomy of an XEDIT session, how to use the basic edit functions and navigation and even some intermediate topics to show how powerful the XEDIT environment is.

James joined Velocity Software in mid-2017, bringing with him over four decades of expertise in z/VM technologies. He serves as the product owner for the zPRO product and of the Global Installer. His responsibilities also include overall customer support, developing and maintaining key products and utilities and assisting in the maintenance of the VSI z/VM systems. In his free time, James enjoys kayaking, watching action/sci-fi films, sipping a fine Bourbon and sitting on a beach with a good book. His favorite music is pretty much any song by Rush.
