Agentic AI is transforming how users interact with enterprise systems by enabling autonomous agents to discover information, reason over data, and take action across applications. Yet some of the most valuable enterprise data remains on the mainframe, isolated from modern AI workflows. In this session, you'll learn how to expose and consume live mainframe data and business services within agentic AI architectures. We will explore practical integration patterns that connect AI agents to z/OS applications, APIs, transactions, and data sources while maintaining enterprise requirements for security, governance, and reliability. Through real-world examples and demonstrations, you'll see how AI agents can retrieve current business data, invoke mainframe services, and participate in end-to-end workflows that span both cloud and mainframe environments. Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of the architectures, technologies, and best practices needed to make mainframe systems an active participant in the agentic enterprise.

Andrew is the architect for z/OS Connect focussing on providing the ability for z/OS customers to unlock the data in their systems through modern RESTful APIs. He is also involved with open source maintaining several projects related to z/OS Connect and contributing to the Zowe project.
