This session session will bring students and aspiring mainframers from across the UK, Europe and the rest of the globe with emerging Z professionals( 0-7 years of experience) in one room The session kicks off with the New to Z (Entry Level) program showcase where program leaders are invited, along with their current of emerging Z professionals to promote their initiatives to the potential next cohort, this gives recruiters direct access to those already interested in a mainframe career and program insight for those applicants ready to get onto the career ladder. Then there will be the speed networking segment where attendees of all levels can share training stories, learning hacks, exchanging best practices and building a industry networks.

I started my mainframe career in 2019 at RSM Partners, which was later acquired by BMC Software. My journey began in CICS and MQ administration, and I soon expanded my skills to include Db2 and the various enterprise security managers (ESMs) that support them. Now at HM Land Registry, I focus on general systems programming tasks like SMPE and z/OS management. I’ve been an active member of the GS UK committee since I first entered the mainframe industry, contributing to the community in various ways. As the Chairman of WAVEZ, I work behind the scenes to organize events, lead student outreach programs, and manage scholarships. I also collaborate closely with the WAVEZ 101 & 102 stream chairs to ensure we continue supporting and empowering the next generation of mainframers.
