In this session the attendee will learn REXX from the very beginning. How the language is structured and how to start using it. We will cover all of the topics required to learn how to write REXX and expanding the class into topics that should make for a very proficient beginning REXX programmer.

Rich has over 45 years experience with VM and VSE, working with most aspects of those operating systems, installing and upgrading them, including various IBM and ISV products. When mainframe Linux became available in early 2000, he installed the initial distribution and has been involved in a number of production implementations. With Velocity Software he performs product installation, customer support and provides trade show and user group support.
James joined Velocity Software in mid-2017, bringing with him over four decades of expertise in z/VM technologies. He serves as the product owner for the zPRO product and of the Global Installer. His responsibilities also include overall customer support, developing and maintaining key products and utilities and assisting in the maintenance of the VSI z/VM systems. In his free time, James enjoys kayaking, watching action/sci-fi films, sipping a fine Bourbon and sitting on a beach with a good book. His favorite music is pretty much any song by Rush.
