John has 30 years of experience in software development spanning engineering, product management and customer relations in the support organization as Head of Sustaining Engineering. He is currently a Product Owner in the Mainframe Software Division of Broadcom translating customer business requirements to engineering teams. John speaks at industry conferences including CA World, IBM Think, SHARE, The Vanguard Security Conference and Guide Share UK. John was awarded the Vanguard Integrity Professionals 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award. He also currently serves as the Security and Compliance Track Leader at SHARE. John resides in the Chicago, IL area where he enjoys spending time with his family, the outdoors, and sampling craft beers when time permits.
